Delivery & Installation Policy
Last updated 20 September 2026 · Applies to optimus-gen3order.us
Scope
This policy explains how a unit reaches you once a quotation has been accepted. Specific dates, incoterms and carrier details are stated in your quotation and in the shipping confirmation, and those documents take precedence over the general position described here.
Lead times
Lead time is counted from the build lock date for your allocation window, not from the date of your reservation request.
| Stage | Typical duration |
|---|---|
| Configuration review and quotation | 2 business days from request |
| Queue position to build lock | Depends on the allocation window, stated in the quotation |
| Build and factory acceptance testing | 4 – 6 weeks |
| Crating and export documentation | 3 – 5 business days |
| Transit, North America | 5 – 8 business days |
| Transit, international | 10 – 21 business days, excluding customs clearance |
These are typical durations, not guarantees. If a stage will overrun materially, we tell you in writing with a revised date, and the cancellation rights in the Refund Policy apply.
Packaging and factory acceptance
Every unit completes a documented factory acceptance test before dispatch. The signed test record ships with the unit and is also sent by email.
- Units ship in a reusable ISPM 15 compliant crate with shock and tilt indicators fitted.
- Battery packs ship separately where carrier or aviation rules require it, under UN 3480 or UN 3481 as applicable.
- The crate includes the charger, documentation pack, and any end effectors ordered.
- Crates are designed for forklift or pallet-jack handling. Keep the crate if you may relocate the unit later.
Delivery terms and risk
Unless your quotation states otherwise, units ship DAP (Delivered At Place, Incoterms 2020) to the delivery point you nominate.
- Title passes on receipt of cleared payment in full.
- Risk of loss or damage passes on delivery to the nominated point.
- Transit insurance to the declared value is included as standard.
- Unloading at the delivery point is your responsibility, unless an installation package was purchased.
Duties, taxes and customs
Under DAP terms, import duties, taxes and customs clearance charges are payable by you as importer of record. We provide the commercial invoice, packing list, harmonised tariff classification and any certificate of origin required.
Robotics hardware may be subject to export control. Where an export licence is required, we apply for it, and the lead time for that licence is additional to the times above. We will tell you as soon as a licence requirement is identified. If a licence is refused, the order is cancelled and all sums paid are refunded in full.
Site readiness
A site readiness checklist is issued with every quotation. In summary, the delivery point needs:
- A level, load-bearing route from the unloading point to the operating area, wide enough for the crate.
- Approximately one square metre of floor space for the charging dock.
- A single-phase outlet within reach of the dock.
- Network access, if you intend to use remote telemetry. It is not required for the unit to operate.
- A completed risk assessment for the intended task, as described in the Disclaimer.
If a scheduled delivery or installation cannot proceed because the site is not ready, the reasonable costs of a return visit may be charged. We would rather reschedule than charge you, so tell us as early as possible.
Commissioning and handover
Where an installation package was purchased, a technician attends to uncrate the unit, verify the shock and tilt indicators, run the commissioning sequence, pair the charging dock, load your selected policy bundle and walk your team through the emergency stop and hand-over procedure.
Where no installation package was purchased, the same sequence is documented step by step in the manual and is supported by a scheduled remote session at no cost.
Damage in transit
Check the shock and tilt indicators and the crate exterior before signing. If either indicator has triggered, or the crate is visibly damaged, note it on the carrier's delivery record before signing and photograph it.
Report transit damage within ten business days of delivery to [email protected] with photographs and the delivery reference. We handle the claim with the carrier and insurer directly; you are not expected to pursue it. Remedies are set out in the Refund Policy.
Where we ship
We ship to business addresses in jurisdictions where supply is lawful and where a service route exists. We do not ship to residential addresses, to freight forwarders acting for an undisclosed party, or to any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive trade sanctions.
If your country is not listed in the reservation form, select "Other" and describe the destination in the notes field. We will confirm whether we can supply before issuing a quotation.
